Part 2 of my review of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars film is up on PartialArc.com! This is the one where we meet Jabba the Hutt’s uncle who talks just like Truman Capote.

Guys, I’ve said this before, but Star Wars got real weird while nobody was looking.

Mike Watches “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” – The Miniseries, Season 3

The third installment of my Star Wars: The Clone Wars review series is up on PartialArc.com! Last time, we saw the emergence of General Grievous as he took down five Jedi all on his own. Today we’ll see the series bridge the gap to Revenge of the Sith, and we’ll also see Anakin get stoned and go on a spirit quest with the cast of James Cameron’s Avatar. I am not even joking, that is the plot of these episodes.

Mike Watches “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” – The Miniseries, Season 2

The second installment of my Star Wars: The Clone Wars reviews is up on PartialArc.com – when we left off last week, Anakin was playing chicken with an enemy ship. Today, we’ll get a lot more Vader foreshadowing, along with a few more random side stories of other Jedi doing things that don’t necessarily make a lot of sense.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Recap – A Brief Hiatus

Some of you might have noticed that we haven’t had a new “Clone Wars” recap last week or this week, and there’s a few reasons for that. The first is, quite frankly, things have been very busy at work and I’ve fallen behind – that’s why last week was so light on content. I’ve also had some internet issues at home, which makes the “Clone Wars” recaps very challenging to put together. And on top of all that, I’ve ALSO been working on an additional project on the side; it’s still a few months out, but I think you guys are all really going to enjoy it – but that’s also been fairly all-consuming lately.

The main reason we’re not getting a new installment today, however, is that it’s Memorial Day, and I honestly think it’s more important that we just take this day to remember the fallen soldiers who have fought and died for our country. And on a day like this, which is so important to remember, I didn’t really want to commemorate it with this guy:

Don’t worry, we’ll be back next week with all the Jar Jar action you could ever want. Probably more than you could ever want, actually. Much, much more.

Anyway, happy Memorial Day, everybody – hope you all have a lovely and safe holiday.

“Star Wars: The Clone Wars” Recap – 1×07, “Duel of the Droids”

 photo StarWarsCloneWars10701_zps26636a7f.jpg

We are entering a new golden age for Star Wars fans. While the prequel films were generally considered to be mediocre, the recent TV series Star Wars: The Clone Wars filled in the gaps and told new stories with the same beloved characters, and was fairly well-received. Since it’s not a show I’m terribly familiar with, I’m going to watch and review every episode, all the way up through the brand new sixth season, which aired exclusively on Netflix. This week, we’re watching “Duel of the Droids,” a follow-up to last week’s R2-centric episode. In this episode, Anakin continues the search for R2, and the identity of a traitor is revealed!

“Star Wars: The Clone Wars” Recap – 1×05, “Rookies”

After a brief Easter hiatus last week, this week we’re watching “Rookies,” which is one of the most lauded episodes of season one, and it’s not hard to see why – this is a pretty good one.

“Star Wars: The Clone Wars” Recap – 1×04, “Destroy Malevolence”

Since it’s not a show I’m terribly familiar with, I’m going to watch and review every episode, all the way up through the brand new sixth season, which aired exclusively on Netflix. This week, we’re watching “Destroy Malevolence,” where a scrappy band of rebels, including a politician and a few droids, sneak aboard the massive doomsday weapon and try to take it down from the inside – okay, maybe it’s a bit like the Death Star.

Spoilers after the jump.
